The Student Advocacy service is free to all students enrolled at the CPIT. Our advocate can provide you with advice and assistance with a broad range of issues which may affect you while you are a student. In addition, our advocate can provide mediation and representation within the CPIT and on occasions before the Tenancy Tribunal or the Ombudsman. The following categories are a general synopsis of the areas which are covered.

 

Academic advice and/or assistance with:

 

  • Cheating
  • Plagiarism
  • Failed course
  • Academic staff (Tutor, Head of School, Dean)
  • Probation, suspension and cancellation of enrolment.
  • Resist, resubmission and second result
  • Credit recognition
  • Aegrotat and conceded pass
  • Refund policy for domestic and international students
  • Appeals (Dean, Academic Board, CPIT Council, Ombudsman)
