Student Exec

Hi, let me introduce you to what the Student Exec and Senate is and what we do? Plus I can tell you how you can become a member of the Exec or how to become a Class Rep.

To become a EXEC Council member you have to nominate yourself to the Student Exec, come and see the current President for a nomination form before March. If accepted then you will be voted in by the Student Body at the AGM held in April. You will then have a role assigned to you. The role you are assigned will generally be inline with what you are studying etc.

There are EXEC council meetings most Friday lunchtimes (12 - 1) with food and drink provided. You will also need to attend Senate Meetings which are held on a Thursday, generally one a term. A moderator message is sent out to all Tutors one week prior to the meeting. Again these meetings have food and drink provided

Senate is made up of the EXEC Council Members and Class Representatives.

At the beginning of each new Study Year you and your class need to nominate someone that is of course willing to attend these meetings. When the Class Rep attends a Senate Meeting they can raise any questions at the meeting to the Chair which is generally the Student President or Vice President who could be standing in for that meeting.
