The CPIT Health Centre provides an accessible and confidential service to students. We offer a range of services including Nurses, a General Practitioner, Counsellors and a Physiotherapist.

We encourage and support students to make informed decisions and to take responsibility for their health and well-being. Our aim is to help you to keep healthy.

When you first attend the CPIT Health Centre the receptionist will ask to see your CPIT ID Card or course receipt in order to register with us.

Monday - Thursday 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
Friday 9.00 am - 3.00 pm

Please note:

During term breaks the CPIT Health Centre is open Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 2.00 pm.

 

Nursing Services

Nursing services are confidential and available to both students and staff. This service is drop-in and, in some cases by appointment.

Services include the following:

  • emergency care for accidents or illness occurring on campus
  • health education and promotion
  • health monitoring and screening e.g. for asthma, diabetes, raised blood pressure, etc
  • sexual health e.g. contraception advice, cervical screening, pregnancy testing & emergency contraception
  • wellness checks, dietary advice, wart removal, smoking cessation assistance
  • ACC
  • Treatment of minor illness

Medical Services

A comprehensive General Practitioner medical service is also available by appointment only.

 

Counselling Services

Smart students talk about:

  • stress
  • course concerns
  • relationship difficulties
  • personal issues

Three free, confidential sessions are available with one of our Counsellors at the CPIT Health Centre, phone 03 940 7566 for an appointment.

 

Physiotherapist

A Physiotherapist is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at HS Block by appointment only.

 

Community Services Card

We recommend that you apply for a Community Services Card if you don't already have one. Information on eligibility can be obtained by contacting the Community Services Card Unit - for further information telephone 0800 999 999, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm weekdays.
